Showa Kinen Park Autumn Delights
Pencilling in an annual pilgrimage to Showa Kinen Park to photograph the autumn foliage or koyo has been a prominent fixture on my calendar over the years. The 165 hectare National Government Park lies close to my work place in Tachikawa and after grabbing some lunch usually make my way across to the Tachikawa Gate entrance. While the lustrous autumn hues certainly draw the crowds its vast size means it always possible to find a little solitude to take in the changing seasons. This year like most was met with clear blue skies and along with my trusty Pentax DA 50-135 lens I set myself the challenge of capturing some bokeh inspired moments.

That first image is fantastic! I don’t typically take a lot of images of leaves living in Tokyo but I really like that one.
Thanking you kindly Dave and tend to agree the urban autumn theme is a little over done. Though on the city outskirts and mountains there’s always a chance to capture something a little unique.
